Sessions and devices

Revoke a stolen laptop, sign out everywhere, and read the activity list.

4 min reads · Content updated with each release

A session is one signed-in browser on one device. You can inspect and revoke each individually, or sign out everywhere at once.

Revoke one session

  1. 1

    Open Settings → Security.

  2. 2

Find the session by device and last-active time.

  3. 3

Choose Revoke next to the entry you want gone.

Revocation is server-enforced

A revoked session cannot read your data even if the attacker keeps the cookies — server-side checks reject the token everywhere, including direct API calls.

Sign out everywhere

Use Sign out of all devices when a device is stolen or you shared access you should not have. Every session, everywhere, ends immediately.

Use case

Lost laptop drill

Goal
Neutralize a physically lost device in one minute.
Scenario
Your laptop bag disappears at an airport.

Steps

  1. 1From any phone, log in and open Settings → Security.
  2. 2Run Sign out of all devices.
  3. 3If your password might be known, change it from the same screen.

Outcome

The laptop holds expired cookies and nothing else.
